Victorian Bushfires - Kinglake “A Tornado of Fire”
The Victorian Bushfires on February 7th, 2009, known as Black Saturday, devastated the town of Kinglake. A terrifying ordeal for locals who could do nothing but watch the town of Kinglake burn to the ground. Black Saturday is officially the worst ever natural disaster in Australia’s young history. The Victorian Bushfires on Black Saturday claimed the lives of 211 people and destroyed almost 2000 homes. These figures are still rising, 2 weeks after the horror.
